Welcome. I am a recently-graduated PhD in mathematics at UNC Chapel Hill, having worked under the supervision of Roberto Camassa and Richard McLaughlin. My main research interest is on transport of passive scalars in fluid flow and stability problems in geophysical fluid dynamics. You can find a more detailed description of these in the Research page.
Aside from my research and hobbies, I do small coding projects on my own from time to time (you can find these under the “Fun Stuff”).
I provide my CV upon request; please email aminian (at) live.unc.edu.
